I have been a resident of the Jacksonville area for over 35 years. I am a graduate of the University of North Florida with a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelors in Accounting, and am also a CPA. I am a seasoned financial professional with over 20 years in the Financial Services industry. Over the past 20 years I’ve been through the ups and downs of the industry, however in the wake of the meltdown of the financial services industry in 2008 and 2009, I decided to take a leap of faith and forge my own path. Initially, I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do or what direction to take, I simply knew that I wanted to do something that would make a difference in other people’s lives. While the obvious would have been to open my own CPA practice, I felt a strong desire to do something completely different, to totally change the direction of my life and career, but was clueless as to what I was really passionate about.
So as I began to search for my passion , I did what people do these days, I turned to the portal of the world to find the solution, the internet. Each day I would spend hours surfing the web looking for what was next in my life and how that translated into creating value to others. Along the way, I attended numerous seminars and met a variety of fantastic people. As time passed, I learned a tremendous amount about the internet, but I also became very focused on my own personal development. I assisted countless numbers of people build websites, blogs and create content. Additionally, I was asked to personally coach and train friends and family members. Then one day it hit me, what I really enjoyed was helping people achieve their goals. That was it! After a 9 month journey, I finally found my passion and my entrepreneurial quest began in earnest and I formed Unplugged Empowerment, LLC. Since then, I have has gone on to become a Certified Life Coach and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and am currently seeking my Performance Enhancement Specialist certification All this done, I continued to feel that my area of expertise went a little deeper, it seemed such a waste to completely throw away 20 years of business knowledge and experience. That’s when a friend and local small business owner asked for help with his online marketing campaign. The opportunity resonated with me. The idea of leveraging my online marketing knowledge, my business acumen and coaching strategies, to partner with business owners to provide them with value-added online advertising solutions began to take shape. The result was the birth of Unplugged Empowerment, LLC d/b/a eStrategies Marketing.
